A teenager learned the hard way that a Starbucks in Anthem, AZ, does not allow animals through the drive-thru.

Aspen Cline was visiting the coffee chain with her friend to get frappuccinos when they were informed they wouldn’t be allowed to order.

WOMAN RIDES HORSE THROUGH WENDY'S DRIVE-THRU, ORDERS HORSE A CLASSIC WENDY'S TREAT

“We weren’t given a reason. Just, ‘we can’t take your order.’ My friend and I were going to get frappuccinos for us and a cup of whipped cream for the horses,” Cline said, FOX 6 reported.

Cline said she had seen videos online showing other riders ordering through the Starbucks drive-thru and decided she wanted to do that for her birthday.

Though Cline and her horse, Scout, were disappointed with the barista’s response, a spokesperson for Starbucks said she could have gone through the drive-thru – just with a little advanced notice.

Fox 6 reported that the spokesperson said officially, the drive-thru is only for cars. A policy that is in place to protect animals, riders and employees. However, with advanced notice, he said next time they could find a way to serve all creatures.

Aspen’s mom, Tandy Cline, said she was upset by the experience, but plans to reach back out the coffee giant to see if they can arrange a better experience for Aspen.

“We support Starbucks because they’re very accepting, so we were kind of disappointed we got thrown to the side from such a great company,” said Tandy Cline.
