Developed by Multimatic Motorsports, the same outfit that builds the the Ford GT supercar, it comes equipped with everything you need to enter one of the popular GT4 spec racing series around the world.

This includes a race-prepped version of the Shelby GT350’s 5.2-liter V8, a paddle-shifted six-speed sequential transmission, an updated suspension, a set of Forgeline racing wheels with slick tires, a roll cage, and functional bodywork modifications aimed at improving both downforce and engine and brake cooling.

The Mustang joins a growing list of factory GT4 cars available today from the likes of Porsche, BMW and McLaren, and will be eligible to compete in both the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class and the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, in which it won the Grand Sport championship this year.

The order books for the Mustang GT4 open on December 1st. Pricing has not yet been announced, but a Ford spokesman tells Fox News that it will be priced competitively with other GT4 cars, which currently run from around $150,000 to $200,000.
