Getting a speeding ticket is usually a nightmare, but it turned out to be a dream for one Halsey fan.
Twitter user @_fran_cesca posted on Tuesday that she was pulled over doing 99 mph in a 70 mph zone on her way home from a semester at Penn State because she was “bangin out to Halsey’s new song Nightmare,” which has a particularly rocking hook.
But while her insurance will likely go up soon, she may have the costs of the ticket covered.

Halsey herself heard about her predicament and tweeted back "What’s your Venmo. I’ll pay your ticket. DRIVE SAFELY PLEASE!!!! What’s your Venmo. I’ll pay your ticket. DRIVE SAFELY PLEASE!!!!
And it wasn’t an empty gesture, because Francesca followed up with an image of a $250 deposit into her account from the pop star, who reiterated DRIVE SAFELY!!!
As far as Halsey's driving history is concerned, she once revealed that her first car was a Jeep and that she used to write songs in it ... not coincidentally in an ad campaign for the Jeep Renegade.
