Jennifer Garner is an actress who has been in many popular television shows and movies including “Alias,” "13 Going on 30," “Juno” and “Dallas Buyers Club.” Garner was also in a very high-profile relationship with fellow actor Ben Affleck with whom she shares three children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
Garner was born on April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas to parents William and Patricia Garner though she grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. She went to college at Denison University where she was studying chemistry before she made a complete switch and ended up graduating in 1996 with a degree in theater.
In 1998, Garner was in the television show “Felicity.” This was the set where she met her future husband, Scott Foley who she was married to from 2000 to 2004, when the two got divorced.
Garner landed the lead role in the television show "Alias," which ran for five season. She received four consecutive Emmy nominations for outstanding lead actress in a drama series and also won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for this role.
Garner has also starred in many movies throughout her career including: "The Invention of Lying,” “Valentine’s Day,” “Arthur,” “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” “Draft Day,” “Men, Women & Children,” “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” “Miracles from Heaven,” “A Happening of Monumental Proportions” and “Love, Simon.”
Recently, Garner has jumped back into some television work, voicing Mama Llama in the “Llama Llama” animated television series and playing Kathryn McSorely-Jodell in “Camping.” She was also in the 2021 movie “Yes Day” and the 2022 movie “The Adam Project.”
Garner married Affleck in 2005 and they split in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in 2018. In their time together, they had three children. Violet was born in December 2005, Seraphina was born in 2009 and Samuel was born in February 2012. Affleck married Jennifer Lopez in July 2022, nearly 20 years after the pairs initial relationship and Garner has been on and off dating John Miller.
