Alec Baldwin has run into trouble with the law once again. The notoriously hotheaded actor was arrested in New York City on Tuesday morning after he became belligerent with a police officer who stopped him on his bike, a spokesperson for the NYPD revealed to FOX411.

“Basically around 10:15, he was riding his bicycle the wrong way in vicinity of 16th and Fifth [Avenue] he was approached by the officers and was asked for [identification],” the spokesperson said.

Another spokesperson for the NYPD described the scene saying, "He had no ID, refused to [identify] himself, became belligerent, cursing and yelling. He was then placed in handcuffs…"

In Touch Weekly first reported news of Baldwin's bust and published photos of the former “30 Rock” star in handcuffs.

A witness told the publication that the star “went ballistic on the cops, screaming at them" as they took him into custody.

Baldwin was issued two summons once at the police station, one for disorderly conduct and one for the traffic violation.

The actor took to Twitter shortly after his arrest to rant about the day's events.

He posted a tweet with the arresting officer's name and badge number, writing he was taken into custody while "photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing."

He then added, "New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign."

A rep for the actor declined to comment.
