Alec Baldwin had another run in with the media on Tuesday.

The former “30 Rock” star got into an altercation with a photographer in Manhattan, and police responded to the scene.

A police source told FOX411 the conflict, unlike some of Baldwin’s past paparazzi run-ins, ended quickly.

Photos from the scene show Baldwin appearing to pin another man up against a vehicle. The actor was also photographed looking angry while speaking to a man on the sidewalk.

But a source close to Baldwin told us the paparazzi was to blame.

"The photographer instigated [it], and even harassed Alec's wife by following her into a nearby [store] after the incident," the source explained.

Still, this is not the actor’s first fight with members of the media.

In February, a New York Post photographer claimed Baldwin lashed out at him, spewing death threats and racial slurs at cameraman when he approached the actor with interview questions.

And in June 2012, Baldwin had a similar battle with the press. In that incident, a New York Daily News photographer claimed Baldwin punched him outside a marriage license bureau.

The Daily News reported that Marcus Santos was taking photos of the star and Thomas, on when the actor grabbed a second news photographer, then shoved Santos and hit him in the chin. He then walked away.

Baldwin and his wife recently welcomed a new daughter, named Carmen Gabriela. Hilaria Baldwin announced the news from her verified Twitter account on August 23.
