Armie Hammer: actor, father, lawbreaker?
On Tuesday, the “Call Me by Your Name” lead posted a throwback mug shot on his Instagram.
Hammer was arrested at the border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, for marijuana possession in 2011, as TMZ first reported.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Specifically, he was allegedly toting .02 grams of weed-infused edibles: three cookies and one brownie.
Hammer’s Instagram caption reads, “It might not be Thursday, but this throwback seems worth it . . . #godblesstexas.” The post is geo-tagged “Sierra Blanca checkpoint.”
The notorious checkpoint, where Hammer geo-tagged the mug shot, is known for busting pot-lovers on the road. Other celebrities allegedly caught with weed at the checkpoint include Snoop Dogg, Fiona Apple and Willie Nelson, according to Texas Monthly.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Hammer spent one day in the slammer before being released on a $1,000 bond. The charges were later dropped.
Despite his (short-lived) jail time, it seems the movie star is still toking up. On the set of his latest film, “Sorry To Bother You,” Hammer allegedly handed off some ganja to co-star Omari Hardwick for safekeeping, Page Six reports.
