Singer and actress Charo thanked her fans for their support and prayers a month after her husband, Kjell Rasten, passed away at age 79.

“Hola amigos, it’s been a month since my husband died,” the Spanish-American singer began in her video message.

“It’s been a very, very hard. I want to thank you with all my heart for your help, your prayers, your support. That keeps me going,” “The Love Boat” star said in an Instagram video.

She continued to say that her husband supported her music because he knew that was when she was her happiest.

“I want to share with you that I will continue [to perform] for his legacy and the love that I have for entertaining that make people happy,” she said as her voice began to crack.

Charo concluded her message by thanking her fans for being there when she really needed it.

“Thank you with all my heart and God bless you all. I really need you and you were there,” she said.

On Feb. 18, Rasten died by suicide inside the couple’s California home. Charo, whose real name is Maria del Rosario Pilar Martinez Molina Baeza, and Rasten wed in 1978. Charo said in a statement through her representative that her husband was suffering from health issues.

The 68-year-old singer and actress urged others who were suffering from depression to get help.

"None of us had any idea this could happen to such a wonderful, kind and generous man,” the actor said in a statement to Fox News. “Please, if anyone you know and love is suffering from depression or illness, hold them close, tell them you love them with all your heart and that the world is better because they are in it. Get any help you can. Suicide is not the answer.”
