If Cher could turn back time, maybe she wouldn’t have started a Twitter war with “Apprentice” star Donald Trump.

The “Believe” singer began posting anti-Trump tweets from her verified Twitter account on Monday when she discovered Trump’s brand was sold at Macy’s.

“I’ll NEVER GO TO MACY’S AGAIN!” Cher posted. “I didn’t know they sold Donald Trump’s Line! If they don’t care that they sell products from a LOUDMOUTH.”

Cher continued with several tweets against the businessman, including a crack about Trump’s hair, referring to it as “his rug.”

Trump fired back, making a comment about Cher’s surgical enhancements.

“Cher-- I don’t wear a ‘rug’—it’s mine. And I promise not to talk about your massive plastic surgeries that didn’t work.”

Cher quickly responded, admitting her hair comment had been out of line.

“[To] set the record straight...I took a cheap shot at Trumps hair…I WAS WRONG!” Cher wrote.

Still, she wouldn’t be completely silenced adding: “I hope Macy’s dumps him!”

But Cher’s wish isn’t likely to come true. Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren defended Trump in an email reply to a man petitioning to get Trump’s brand out of the store.

Lundgren explained: “Please understand and appreciate that Macy's marketing and merchandising offerings are not representative of any political position. Ours is a free society compromised of a wide range of viewpoints.”
