He also appeared in the cult classic "Friday" alongside Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, as well as films including "The Replacements," "Made," "Blue Crush" and "Couples Retreat."
The arrest marks the latest legal issue for Love, who has faced previous criminal allegations during his career.
In 2017, Love pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an altercation with a valet at John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Ohio. According to reports, the actor was fined $500 and received a 180-day suspended jail sentence.

More recently, Love was accused of felony assault following an August 2024 incident at a San Diego hotel.
According to a criminal complaint, Love allegedly became upset after a hotel employee informed him that a room he booked through a third-party app was unavailable and suggested he seek a refund. Police alleged that Love ripped a credit card reader from its mount and threw it at the employee, striking her in the head and breaking her glasses.
The employee later filed a civil lawsuit seeking damages for medical expenses as well as alleged physical and emotional suffering.
