Garth Brooks will perform second show in Boise after call from Idaho Gov. Brad Little

Country superstar Garth Brooks will perform a second concert in Boise, Idaho, after tickets to his first show sold out in less than an hour — and fans have the governor to thank.

Republican Gov. Brad Little called the musician on Wednesday to thank him for performing in Boise this coming July. Tickets to the show went on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, and were sold out by 10:59 a.m.

Brooks' team said a second concert wasn't out of the question but didn't make any commitments.

But Little on Wednesday called Brooks to personally ask him to perform a second concert in Boise because his show is highly anticipated among Idahoans.

"We are so excited that you've agreed to come here but I had my constituent people were in this morning, they told me one of the biggest requests we're getting in the office is to ask you to schedule another tour," Little told Brooks said, according to a video posted to Twitter.

"You are blowing the doors off of anything that's happened in Boise, Idaho, for a long, long time."

Brooks thanked the governor, and said people in Idaho "are awfully sweet to me and it's always been a great place to play." He said his team was looking at the "possibilities" of a second concert.

"If it happens, it'll be because of this phone call," Brooks told the governor. "I so, so appreciate it."

And on Thursday, Brooks' team revealed a second concert scheduled to take place in Idaho. The governor thanked Brooks on Twitter.

Brooks is scheduled to perform at the Albertsons Stadium on July 19th and 20th.
