The 70th Annual Golden Globes featured a former president, a rambling Jodie Foster speech, and three hot red carpet trends: stark white, red hot and nude tones.
The ladies in red included the winner of best actress in a musical or comedy for “Silver Linings Playbook,” Jennifer Lawrence, who made her young presence known in Dior Haute Couture gown. “New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel paired oversized pearls with her red hot Oscar de la Renta gown and new mom Claire Danes showed off her tiny – one month post giving birth – waistline in Versace.
In stark white, recent bride Anne Hathaway looked pristine in Chanel. Michelle Dockery from “Downton Abbey” added some bling to her white form-fitting gown while Heidi Klum added a sky-high slit to an already sexy dress.

The amount of ladies in nude and blush tones was overwhelming. Amy Adams was perhaps one of the best dressed of the night in a blush Marchesa mermaid gown. Amanda Seyfried went for a vintage look in the same palette in a high-neck gown covered in lace by Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. “Nashville” star Hayden Panettiere was happy to be in a strapless Roberto Cavalli gown despite the weather.
"It's nice to not be sweating profusely on the red carpet,” she said. “Because the Emmys were like a downpour and it's a nice beautiful day, it's perfect."
