Hugh Jackman, who plays 1988 Democratic presidential hopeful Gary Hart in “The Front Runner,” didn’t get any advice about politics from pals Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

The Washington, DC, couple were recently at Jackman’s 50th birthday at Donna Karan’s Urban Zen, Page Six exclusively reported.

But the star told us, “I’ve been friends with them for 15 years so I am sure they were happy not to talk politics for a night,” Jackman told us at a MoMA premiere of his film.

It centers on Hart’s campaign that was derailed in 1987 after the press discovered his alleged affair with Donna Rice.

Director Jason Reitman told us that his movie “speaks to all the things we are talking about right now — the line between a public and private life, gender politics, the relationship between politicians and the press.” But, “[This year] has become a moment where it is almost impossible to have these conversations, the volume is so high. You go on Twitter and you’re gonna get the crap beaten out of you.”

The movie also stars Vera Farmiga and J.K. Simmons.
