After reports surfaced that former “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar had an Ashley Madison account, the disgraced reality star has admitted he cheated on his wife Anna Duggar.

Ashley Madison is a website that claims to pair up men and women looking for extramarital affairs. Its database was hacked, and the e-mail addresses and other information from its members was leaked.

In a statement posted on the Duggar family’s website he wrote: “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the Internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.”

Duggar wrote that he was leading “a double life” and asked for forgiveness, noting that he had often rallied against immorality.

“I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.”

His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, wrote that they were heartbroken at this latest scandal.

“When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken. As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family.”

This is not the first scandal the Duggar family has faced. Back in April and explosive In Touch Weekly report revealed Josh Duggar had fondled four of his sisters and a family babysitter when he was a teen.

Duggar acknowledged that he had caused his family pain.

“I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.”

The initial revelations about Josh Duggar eventually led TLC to cancel the family’s hit reality show “19 Kids and Counting.” Josh Duaggar also resigned from his position at the Family Research Council.

"As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences," Duggar added in his statement. "I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.”

Josh Duggar and wife Anna announced the birth of their fourth child on July 19.
