The mother of Lamar Odom’s children seems to have buried the hatchet with Khloe Kardashian.
The basketball star’s exes are supporting each other as the former NBA star fights for his life following an apparent drug overdose.
Liza Morales and her daughter, Destiny, 17, and son Lamar Jr., 13, traveled to the Las Vegas hospital where Odom has been hospitalized since Tuesday after being found unconscious at a Las Vegas-area brothel.

Their travel to Sunrise Hospital from New York City was reportedly arranged by Kardashian, who wanted her exes children by his side. She also flew Odom’s father Joe to Las Vegas.
According to E! News, the 35-year-old basketball player still remains in “critical” condition. A source said the situation is “no better, no worse. Nothing’s changed. Everyone is praying for a miracle.”
The tension between Morales, Odom and Kardashian has been well documented, especially after Morales wrote an open letter on the Daily Beast in March 2013 opening up about the reality star’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend.

“I don’t think I’ll forget the tight knot I felt in the pit of my stomach the morning I received the text message with three simple words on the screen,” Morales wrote. “It read “I’m getting married” and it was from the man I’d spent more than 10 years of my life with.”
She said that she couldn’t fathom how a man – “who’d constantly given me reason after reason for why we couldn’t get married” – was ready to tie the knot with someone he had dated for only four weeks.
Morales, who is of Puerto Rican descent, revealed that he would always point to other NBA marriages that never lasted and the timing wasn’t right for them.

“I listened to the many reasons why we weren’t married yet and believed them, knowing deep inside something wasn’t right. And then I slowly morphed into the girl I promised myself I’d never become, the girl who stayed long after she knew she shouldn’t,” Morales wrote. “Truth is, I wanted that fairy tale so badly that I couldn’t bear to walk away from that life or take my children away from the comfort and security of a two-parent home.”
Odom and Morales’ relationship began to unravel after the 2006 death of their infant son Jayden (of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), she said, adding that they never really talked of the loss, which “wasn’t healthy and also meant our relationship would never last.”
After Odom started dating Kardashian (their whirlwind marriage was filmed for E!), Morales’ already strained relationship with her ex got even worse. She said she only met with Kardashian at the request of her children.

“We kept things cordial for the children’s sake after the breakup, but that changed when he married Khloe,” she wrote in the open letter. “Now we only communicate through third parties and lawyers, which I regret deeply since it is exactly what we each experienced as children and said we wouldn’t do to our kids.”
She told the New York Daily News in early 2013 that she didn’t think that Kardashian was very “good maternally” but that as long as her kids were “good” so was she.
“As long as my kids are taken care of and I haven’t heard anything negative, then I’m good,” she added.

Morales, who then did the show “Starter Wives” added: “I’ve have to deal with a lot of tabloid lies as the result of all the attention Lamar gets since he’s married to someone so famous.”
“I am hopeful that one day I will have a cordial relationship again with Lamar, but until then I have to think of myself and the future I’d like to have given that I’m still in my early 30s,” she wrote at the time. “Today it’s about me and the kids and moving forward. No anger or regrets. Just lessons learned and good days ahead.”
The former couple has been embattled in an ongoing custody battle. According to E! News, Odom was expected to appear in front of a New York judge in next few days.

Since news broke, Morales has not spoken out publically, however an unverified Twitter account reportedly belonging to Morales posted a cryptic quote by Tupac Shakur.
“You see you wouldn’t ask why the rose that grew from the concrete had damaged petals. One the contrary we would all celebrate its tenacity. We would all love its will to reach the sun. Well; we are the roses, this is the concrete, and these are my damaged petals,” the quote reads.
Morales and Kardashian are now offering each other support after Odom was found face-down and alone Tuesday after spending four days at the Love Ranch, a legal Nevada brothel.

Odom started "throwing up all kinds of stuff" after a 911 operator told them to turn him on his side, Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof told The Associated Press in a phone interview. Odom had "spent time socializing with some of my girls," but wasn't seen taking any illegal drugs, Hof said.
In a recording of a 911 call, Hof's spokesman Richard Hunter said Odom was breathing but in a "deep sleep" and had fluid coming from his nose and mouth.
"He sounds like he's snoring a little bit. But he is breathing consistently," Hunter said.

It was Odom's first visit to the Love Ranch, and he told employees he did cocaine before he arrived Saturday, Hunter said.
Odom also took up to 10 tabs of an over-the-counter sexual performance enhancer over the course of his stay, Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly said at a news conference. Sheriff's Detective Michael Eisenloffel described the enhancers as supplements and said Odom bought them at the brothel.
With a search warrant, authorities took a blood sample from Odom early Wednesday to determine what was in his system. The results could take weeks, Eisenloffel said.
