Larry King, former CNN host, hospitalized with coronavirus: report

Larry King, the former longtime CNN talk-show host, has been in a Los Angeles hospital for the past week after contracting the coronavirus, the network reported Saturday.

The report cited information from a King family member who was not identified.

King, 87, was said to be admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The broadcaster has had numerous health issues in recent years, including heart trouble, diabetes and lung cancer, The Associated Press reported.

In 2020, King confirmed that two of his five children had died within weeks of each other. Son Andy King died at age 65 in August of a heart attack and daughter Chaia King died at age 51 from lung cancer, King said in a statement.

King hosted "Larry King Live," a hugely popular primetime talk show that ran from 1985 to 2010.
