You might want to keep your top on from now on, Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are suing a French magazine that published paparazzi photographs of Kate sunbathing topless in France.

Slamming Closer magazine for publishing the pics, the couple's office said Friday in a statement that "their royal highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and unjustifiable manner."

In the images, Kate was sunbathing at a villa in Provence (where sunbathing topless is de rigueur). But, the royal couple truly believed that nobody was watching them.

"Their royal highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them," the statement continued.

This is only the latest embarrassment for the royal family. Last month, various media outlets published photographs of Kate's brother-in-law, Prince Harry, partying naked in Las Vegas.
