Marion Cotillard wowed on the red carpet at a New York screening of her movie “Allied,” while her co-star Brad Pitt has been promoting the film in China.

Cotillard, who is pregnant with her second child with partner Guillaume Canet, mingled with guests at iPic Theaters including Valentino, Donna Karan and Bruce Weber at the Cinema Society screening of the highly anticipated World War II drama, out on Wednesday.

The French actress revealed that she helped Pitt with his French accent for his role in the film.

“He had this commitment to do the best he could, which was really, really impressive, so I helped him by being very tough. I was very honest with him.”

Of their sex scenes in the movie, she said at a press conference, “It’s an awkward situation. We laughed because . . . this is so weird . . . And then we go into this, and then I’m going on top of you, and then we are going to kiss.”
