Two weeks after Matt Lauer and his estranged wife Annette Roque were spotted without their wedding rings, the former Dutch model was seen meeting with high-priced lawyers in New York City.

According to the New York Post, a stern looking Roque stepped out of the Manhattan-based law firm Latham & Watkins on Wednesday.

A source told the Post that Roque is meeting with lawyers to try to get a bigger settlement out of Lauer should the pair divorce.

Lauer, 59, and Roque, 52, married in 1998 and she filed for divorce in 2006, accusing the disgraced journalist of "cruel and inhumane" behavior before withdrawing her petition one month later after reaching a private agreement which reportedly including a post-nuptial agreement. They have three children together, Jack, 16, Romy, 13, and Thijs, 11.

The source told the Post "The post-nup will likely specify how much Annette would get if they divorce, but she is expected to challenge it given Matt’s earnings since 2006, and given how he has humiliated her. There are also issues over all the property and land they own, both in the Hamptons and abroad."

Earlier this week, a former "Today" production assistant detailed her torrid affair with Lauer that took place in 2000. While the former staffer said the affair was consensual, she felt it was an "abuse of power" because she was 24 and Lauer was in his 40s at the time of their relationship.
