Legendary British rocker Roger Waters turned up at the Long Island Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony with a black right eye and several stitches below it, according to the New York Post.

The Pink Floyd founder, who left the band in 1985, told a joke at the ceremony about how he got into a fight with a bottle of tequila the night before — “and the bottle won.”

He was at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia emergency room until 5 a.m., but he still made it hours later to Thursday’s event to give Live Nation’s Ron Delsener (whom he calls Uncle Ronny) an award.

The Post reports Waters actually fell in the bathroom at home, hitting his head, and was knocked unconscious.

Also honored were Clive Davis, Kurtis Blow, the Billy Joel Band and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels.
