A Romanian-Canadian singer-songwriter has died at the age of 34 after her car plunged into the Danube River, according to reports.

Emergency workers identified the body of Anca Pop after divers found her car late Monday in southwestern Romania.

Police said Tuesday they were investigating her death.

Her sister alerted police after she failed to arrive at the family home Sunday evening.
