For everyone who has ever wanted to feel like a meal being slowly reheated in a microwave, you’re in luck — the latest social media challenge is asking you to do just that.

The “Microwave Challenge” as it was dubbed on TikTok — an app used to create short videos where the trend originated back in February — involves people filming themselves as they slowly turn their bodies without moving arms or legs, mimicking what it would be like if they were spinning on a microwave plate.

To truly complete the challenge, you must also perform the stunt to the soundtrack of Joji’s “Slow Dancing in the Dark,” specifically starting at the 1:04 minute mark.

Though the trend seems to be relatively new, members from South Korean boy band BTS were filmed doing what appears to be the microwave spin back in 2017, Metro reported.

However, because of the video length, those attempting the challenge do not have to completely rotate, just enough to give the illusion of being gradually warmed.

At least this challenge seems to be going a bit better than the last social media challenge involving a microwave, which led to concerned parents everywhere: Back in November, the “turkey challenge” went viral, asking people to prank their moms and dads by asking them how to cook a 25-pound turkey in the microwave.
