A proud dad shared video of his son, who was born with a rare disorder, seeing his mother clearly for the first time. Leopold Wilbur Reppond, known as Leo, is four months old and was born with oculocutaneous albinism.

The condition affects pigmentation of the skin, hair and eyes and affected individuals usually have vision problems such as reduced sharpness and sensitivity to light, according to the National Institutes of Health. An estimated 1 in 20,000 people worldwide are born with oculocutaneous albinism.

Leo’s dad, David, 39, posted the video to NewsFlare.com. In it, Leo’s mother, Erin, 35, is off-camera and puts special glasses on her son’s face. As he sees his mother, he smiles and giggles.
