A terminally ill Michigan pooch spent his final month living out a bucket list of experiences — including riding in a police car, going on a doggie date, and gobbling up a string of sausages.

Buddy, a 14-year-old lab mix, died Monday after attracting thousands of fans who followed his whirlwind month online.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I let everyone know that Buddy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today surrounded by love and hugs,” owner Emily Mochan wrote on a Facebook page dedicated to his bucket list.

“Over the last several days Buddy’s health has taken a decline and today it got really bad and he looked at me and his eyes told me it was time,” she added.

Mochan, a volunteer at ReJoyceful Animal Rescue, adopted Buddy last month after he was brought into the shelter following the sudden death of his owner.
