Meghan Markle wears white Givenchy dress on one-month wedding anniversary at Royal Ascot debut

Meghan Markle made her Royal Ascot debut Tuesday alongside husband Prince Harry and other members of the royal family.
The newlywed arrived on day one of the five-day annual horse racing event dressed in a chic white dress by the same designer who created her wedding gown, Givenchy.

The special occasion also happened to fall on the one-month anniversary of the royal wedding.
The Duchess of Sussex paired her collared shirt dress with a thin black belt, black clutch and black pumps. She topped off the look with an event-appropriate black and white hat by London-based milliner Philip Treacy.

The Royal Ascot has a strict dress code, which states that ladies must wear a hat or headpiece with a solid base of four inches, and dresses and skirts should fall just above the knee or longer, according to Elle.
The Royal Ascot comes just one day after Meghan and Prince Harry attended his cousin Celia McCorquodale's wedding in Lincolnshire, England.

Meghan, who wore a blue and white printed Oscar de la Renta wrap dress for the occasion, was highly criticized for her look.
Many called out the fit of the billowy style, which seemed a bit large for her. Others noted that the look was too casual for a “high-society British wedding.”
