A dog in Texas recently got to experience her birthday in style, thanks to her owner who threw the pup a quinceanera.
Last weekend, Lupita the chihuahua was the honoree of her very own quinceanera, a tradition rooted in Latin American culture that usually celebrates a human girl’s 15th birthday.

This time, however, Lupita’s owner, Miranda Sanchez, decided to dress Lupita in a white dress and tiara in honor of her 15th birthday in dog years, Teen Vogue reported. In reality, Lupita is slightly over two-years-old.
Megan Sanchez, Miranda’s cousin, later posted the now viral pictures of Lupita on her big day.
As of Saturday morning, Megan’s tweet had more than 15,000 retweets and nearly 60,000 likes.

"I figured it was another excuse to get my family together and eat and celebrate," Miranda told Teen Vogue. "I had multiple friends with dogs, so I invited them. There were seven small dogs, and they all dressed up. It was so cute."
Lupita and the other pups at her party enjoyed ribs and a gift bags full of treats and toys, the publication reported.

"Lupita loved it. She was a bit irritated with her quince crown, but other than that, she loved having all the other doggies there,” Miranda added.
