Investigators are asking the public for help with identifying the gunmen who wounded at least 12 people near a street festival in Toledo, Ohio.
Toledo police told Fox News Digital in a statement that no arrests have been made as of Sunday morning, and detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have photos, videos or other information to come forward.
“Community members continue to play a critical role in helping investigators identify those responsible,” the department said.
Authorities asked anyone with information to call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111, noting that tipsters may remain anonymous.
Toledo mayor vows city will emerge stronger after festival shooting
Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz pledged the city would "emerge stronger" after a shooting near an annual street festival left at least 12 people wounded Saturday night and no suspects in custody hours later.
Kapszukiewicz wrote in a post on X that the violence at the Old West End Festival “has happened in too many American cities.”
“Toledo has faced more adversity over the years than most cities, and our citizens always rally together and pull through,” read the post. “This will be no exception.”
The mayor wrote that Americans “should never shrug our shoulders” or accept such violence “as the price of living in a free society.”
“Toledo is resilient & it will emerge stronger because of the unity we show in this moment — and because of the brave men & women of @Toledo_PD & @ToledoFire, whose swift actions today saved lives. Let’s pray for them tonight as we also pray for our city and country,” he wrote.
Ohio governor confident police will find suspects of ‘senseless’ shooting at summer festival
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine expressed confidence that police will track down the gunmen of a "senseless” shooting near a popular street festival in Toledo that left at least 12 people wounded and no suspects in custody.
DeWine responded to the shooting at the annual Old West End Festival in an X post on Saturday evening.
“I am deeply concerned about the situation in Toledo tonight,” read the Republican governor’s post. “Summer festivals should be safe spaces for families to spend time together without fear of violence.”
“Fran and I are praying for everyone impacted by the incident at the Old West End Festival, and we are confident that law enforcement will locate the suspects involved in this senseless crime,” he added.
Police said investigators believe they are searching for two gunmen who were likely shooting at each other. Authorities have not released descriptions of any suspects or identified a possible motive as of early Sunday morning.

As gunshots shattered a summer evening street festival in Toledo, Ohio, Navy veteran Kevin Berry recalled seeing people dive for cover before going on to find multiple victims wounded.
Berry told The Associated Press that he was sitting in the neighborhood arboretum listening to live music with friends when the gunfire erupted.
“Everybody hit the deck,” he said.
When Berry looked back up, he said he saw a gun being tossed to the ground less than 50 feet away from him.
Berry, who has medical training and served in the Navy, walked around looking for anyone who might need help and saw at least five people with gunshot wounds.
“The folks who were hit were spread out around the arboretum area,” he said.
Police said at least 12 people were wounded. As of Sunday morning, 10 of the victims were reported to be in stable condition, while two others remained in critical condition.

Manhunt underway for at least 2 gunmen, police say
Investigators believe at least two gunmen opened fire near a festival in Ohio as the manhunt for suspects continued hours after the shooting wounded at least a dozen people on Saturday night.
Deputy Chief Joseph Heffernan said during a news conference that investigators believe the shooting involved at least two gunmen who “were probably shooting at each other.”
Investigators said they are actively searching for the suspects involved.
"It's just a shame, you know, a few people, for whatever reason, going through their heads, decide to disrupt something that has been a beloved community event for many, many, many years," Heffernan said.
"We had the security in place, just so that something like this wouldn't happen and unfortunately, best laid plans, it happened anyway," he added.
As of early Sunday morning, authorities have not released descriptions of any suspects or identified a possible motive.

No suspects were in custody hours after at least 12 people were wounded near an annual street festival in Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday night, authorities said.
Officers responded around 5:37 p.m. to a report of a shooting near the Old West End Festival, an annual gathering of live music and home tours, and found multiple people with gunshot wounds.
Toledo police said 10 of the victims were reported to be in stable condition, while two others remain in critical condition.
The ages of the victims ranged from 14 to 61, with most of them in their early 20s.
"As far as violence, this is over the top," Investigative Lt. Dan Gerken said during a news conference.
Gerken urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact investigators.
