Diddy allegedly still pays for ex-girlfriend's rent, lawyer

Sean "Diddy" Combs allegedly requested explicit videos from his ex-girlfriend one week before he was arrested in New York on federal charges.
Testifying under the pseudonym Jane, Diddy's ex claimed he invited her to New York, but she didn't go because he was arrested.
She confirmed to prosecutors that prior to a November 2024 subpoena, she had not spoken to the government. Jane testified Monday that she's been in therapy for three months.
She told the court that she retained a lawyer in late 2024, and claimed Diddy still pays for her legal aid and her rent. Her last meeting with Diddy's lawyers was in April, she testified.
Jane claimed she told Diddy's lawyers about the June 2024 incident, and hadn't told anyone before because she was still processing it and wanted to forget. She said she felt obligated to meet with the defense, and that it was fear-based. She didn't want to make Diddy mad, she testified.
Earlier in the day, Jane claimed Diddy asked her about coercion after he allegedly made her take drugs before having sex with a male escort. She testified about Diddy's alleged violent behavior, and said he once put her in a chokehold after kicking and punching her.
Jane claimed she was with Diddy, his family and friends when they helped craft his apology video following the release of the 2016 Cassie assault video from the InterContinental Hotel.
She told the court that she never heard the "Victory" rapper deny he was the one in the video assaulting Cassie. Jane testified that Diddy showed her a final draft of what he would say, and she understood he would post it on social media. She said she thought the message was heartfelt.
Additionally, Jane told jurors that a male escort named Kabrale once tried to extort them with a video from one of their "hotel nights."
Jane claimed on the stand that a media company reached out saying they had bought the tape. Her voice was shaky on the stand when she said, "I fainted and called my lawyer." Jane also said she called Diddy, and the company did not end up releasing the video.

Diddy's team requested all questions about the video be struck due to being inappropriate. The prosecution noted there were no objections, and added that they were about to get into an incident were Diddy assaulted Jane and then made her have sex with an escort.
