Apple sends invites for Oct. 30 iPad, Mac event

Apple today sent invitations for an Oct. 30 event that will likely include the launch of new iPads and Macs.
"There's more in the making," the invite reads.
Things kick off at 10 a.m. ET at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

For those looking to read into the imagery in the invite, it appears Apple is switching things up and sending different images to different media outlets. PCMag got the furry orange Apple logo you see above; check out some of the other designs making the rounds below.

What does Apple have in store? Rumors tip new iPads that will add Face ID and ditch the Home button, like the iPhone XS and XR. But unlike those new devices, the updated iPads will reportedly add USB-C and a Mac-like magnetic connector.
As for the Macs, we wrote an 2018 MacBook wish list back in May; we'll have to see if Cupertino ticks any of those boxes later this month.
