Black Friday 4K TV deals arrive in force

This might be the year to grab a high-resolution 4K TV as the technology settles in and prices come down.

TVs with 4K resolution offer much higher resolution – up to four times – than the typical Full HD TV. The gotcha is that there are virtually no live 4K broadcasts. Though that is expected to change in the coming years, right now 4K content (also referred to as Ultra HD) is only available from streaming services like Netflix and Amazon on a limited basis. There are other caveats too, such as having the right components that provide enough speed and bandwidth to playback 4K video.

But for those consumers interested in future-proofing their TV and/or viewing high resolution 4K video and images shot with a 4K-capable camera, there are some great deals this year. Here’s a look at some of the best. Generally the deals run start on November 26 and continue for a few days. But some deals are revised on a regular basis.
