Researchers in Japan have built the worst ever arcade game feature: A robot that can use a human opponent's moves against them to win.

The robot can anticipate game play by assessing its human opponent's moves, and changes its strategy throughout the game.
It was developed by the Namiki Laboratory at Chiba University, which is developing the technology of high-speed human interactive robots.

The robot is hooked up to a computer and cameras that track the puck and the opponent's paddle, and the robot builds knowledge of the player during the game to adapt its strategy.

We don't know why they developed this robot. Maybe they have something against poor game-obsessed teens.
Watch the robot in action in the video above.
