Motorola accidentally revealed information on an unannounced smartphone, the Droid Ultra. While the company did not post a picture, they did release information on the phone writing, "Available in a bunch of glossy colors, this high-grade DuPont™ Kevlar body proves you can be even thinner and still be tough as steel." (Motorola)

Motorola has accidentally published details on its own website of an unannounced smartphone, named the Droid Ultra. The page provides almost everything you could want to know about the phone, except what it looks like, as the main image is sadly missing. It has the tagline, “Think thin,” and sure enough, the specs confirm it’ll be 8.3mm thick. The blurb also states it’ll have a Kevlar body and be made available in a, “bunch of glossy colors.”

Don’t expect it to challenge smartphones such as the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One, as the Droid Ultra looks like a solid mid-range phone. The screen will measure 4.3-inches, and have a 960 x 540 pixel resolution, while the processor will be a 1.5GHz dual-core chip. An 8-megapixel camera sits on the rear of the Kevlar shell, along with an LED flash, while a disappointing VGA video call camera is round the front. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is its operating system, and it’s compatible with 3G and 4G LTE networks.

The remainder of the feature list is fairly standard – 8GB of memory, a 2000mAh battery, DLNA, Wi-Fi, and a microSD card slot – but it does also have NFC built-in, along with the ability to function as a 3G or a 4G hotspot. While we don’t have a picture, the black model is said to have a, “diamond cut spin” to its aluminum frame. This is the same language used to describe the look of phones such as the Droid Razr M, so we can expect a similar style.

Motorola is rumored to be building up to the release of its Moto X hardware, which has been created alongside new owners Google, however before these arrive it’s having to work through a back catalog of phones from before Google took charge. We’d say this is one of them. No release date is mentioned, but an official announcement can’t be far away, seeing as the webpage is almost completely ready to go.
