Want a Sandwich.com? Yahoo sells off its URL stash

Yahoo is going through some very, very early spring cleaning by selling off a stash of 29 Web domains, including gems like crackers.com, sled.com, and religious.net. OK, that last one might not be such a hot commodity – but it’ll still cost you between $10,000 and $24,000.
As Quartz reports, the domains range in price from as low as $1,000 to $5,000 for stinkers like batoota.com and webcal.com, up to between $1 million and $1.5 million for av.com, which might actually be worth the hefty investment.
Mid-range domains, like policescanner.com, jockeys.com, or truestory.com run in the neighborhood of $10,000 to $25,000. Meanwhile westerns.com and mym.com – the meaning of which has completely passed over our heads – is expected to fetch up to $250,000. Why? Who knows – we’re just the messenger.
One of our personal favorites, sandwich.com, could go for the low, low price of $50,000 to $100,000, while cyberjokes.com is a steal at $1,000 to $5,000. Why does Yahoo own cyberjokes.com, you ask? No clue, but considering Yahoo’s heyday as a later 90′s Internet giant, it’s really not so much of a surprise. Either way, the sale of these domains – assuming they actually sell – could bring Yahoo combined total of as much as $3.5 million. Not a bad payday for a bunch of sites that are just sitting around, waiting for someone to turn them into the next Yahoo.com.
