Tropical Storm Beta leaves 11 million Texas and Louisiana residents under flash flood warnings Video

Beta weakened into a post-tropical cyclone late Tuesday, as the storm heads toward the northeast, bringing heavy rainfall from eastern Texas into the lower Mississippi River valley.

The storm was located about 60 miles west of Lake Charles, La. with maximum sustained winds of 30 mph, as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to latest advisory the National Hurricane Center. Beta made landfall as a tropical storm over Texas Monday night.

The storm may bring flash flooding to parts of Texas and Louisiana that were recently impacted by Hurricane Laura.
