Human legs found in trash prompt Ohio homicide investigation

Columbus police are investigating a homicide after two human legs were found in the trash at a waste-collection facility.
Just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, police were called in to investigate the facility employees’ findings. Police arrived shortly after and confirmed the report.

A coroner’s van was spotted leaving the facility around 7:30 p.m. and investigators left the scene after 9 p.m. Tuesday evening, Fox 28 reports.
According to an employee, authorities were in the part of the building where trash dumping and processing happens.

Employees were kept away from the location during the investigation, yet work still continued despite the police presence.
Police have yet to identify any suspect or any known motives.
