One Illinois school is making 'promposals' easier and a lot less stressful for their students.

At Aquin High School in Freeport, students are once again adhering to a decades-old tradition of having their dates chosen at random.

SCHOOLS IN RURAL AREAS SHIFTING TOWARD A 4-DAY WEEK

Boys in the school go to the library and draw a name at random to find their date, then go into the gym and perform a skit before revealing the names of the girls they picked, WTHR reports.

"I've had a lot say 'Oh, I would hate that!', but I think after they kind of hear the rest of the story and realize what goes into it I think a lot of people are actually intrigued then by it,” Michelle Gallagher, a junior class advisor, told the station. “It's less of a date and more like something fun to do with your classmates."

The tradition started at the school in 1926, according to Fox 6.
