Celebrities are paying tribute to Oscar and Emmy award-winning actress Cloris Leachman, who died Wednesday at the age of 94.

Mel Brooks wrote on Twitter: "Such sad news—Cloris was insanely talented. She could make you laugh or cry at the drop of a hat. Always such a pleasure to have on set. Every time I hear a horse whinny I will forever think of Cloris’ unforgettable Frau Blücher. She is irreplaceable, and will be greatly missed."

Ed Asner also paid tribute to the late actress on Twitter, sharing a photo of him alongside Leachman.

"A picture from the last time I saw you. Always beautiful. Nothing I could say would top the enormity of my love for you. Until we meet again darling. #clorisleachmanrip," he captioned the snapshot. 

Actor George Takei wrote: "Cloris Leachman has passed. The Oscar and Emmy-winning funny lady stole her way into our hearts and always left us smiling. She was 94. Rest in peace, and save a laugh for us when we get there."

Musician Peter Frampton also chimed in to offer his condolences.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences noted Leachman's ability "to shock, delight and surprise" audiences throughout her career. 

Steve Martin said, "Salute to Cloris Leachman, who brought comedy’s mysteries to the big and small screen."

Mark Hamill wrote, "A one-of-a-kind actor, she could do everything! She made anything she appeared in much better & her versatility was astonishing. Thank you for a lifetime of unforgettable performances. #ripClorisLeachman."

Joy Behar shared a "Young Frankenstein" reference, paying homage to the 1974 classic in which Leachman starred in.

The Muppets also penned a heartfelt tribute to the late actress, who guest starred on "The Muppet Show."

"God I loved her. RIP #CLORISLEACHMAN," John Stamos wrote alongside a clip of Leachman.

Actress Gates McFadden noted that Leachman was "a beautiful actress who inspired me with her extraordinary performances in film, television and the stage."
