Former Disney teen star Jordan Pruitt has gone public with shocking allegations of grooming and sexual abuse.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Pruitt, now 27, alleges that she suffered at the hands of an older man in the entertainment industry when she was just a teenager.

Pruitt, who rose to fame in 2006 as a Disney Channel star, claimed a man began grooming her when she was just 15.

According to Pruitt, it started when the man began withholding food from her so she lost weight and then complimenting her appearance.

“At 15 this person had brainwashed me into thinking that the things that were happening were ‘natural’ and ‘OK,’” Pruitt wrote.

“For the record, while all of this was happening to me, he was engaged to be married. While I will spare you any of the mind-piercing details, I can honestly and unfortunately say that this man sexually abused me for almost two years of my life. I am a victim of child molestation because of him.”

Pruitt said she eventually told another woman who alerted her parents and led to the police being called.

But Pruitt said she denied everything because she was scared, resulting in no charges being filed against the man.

From there Pruitt claimed things became worse, with Pruitt alleging the man “brainwashed” her into thinking she needed to get away from her parents.

“The months following were the most painful I’ve ever experienced. This person had brainwashed me against my parents and even made me believe that I needed to get emancipated from them at some point because they were too controlling,” Pruitt said.

“He made me believe that they were just in it for my ‘Disney Money’. (This one makes me laugh now).

“He made it almost impossible for me to cut ties with him. He made it so difficult that I almost lost my record deal entirely.”

Eventually, Pruitt said she was able to get away from the man with the help of a manager and “started to rebuild myself." She said she decided to tell her story now because “secrets make you sick."

“He can no longer take my everyday happiness away,” Pruitt wrote. “At this moment in time, I couldn’t be happier that I am able to share this with you. Share this with my fans that unfortunately might have similar experiences.”

Pruitt rose to fame signing on the soundtrack of popular Disney Channel original movies like "Read It and Weep" and "Jump In!"

The teen also toured alongside The Cheetah Girls in 2006 and in 2012 appeared as a contestant on "The Voice" in the U.S.

Pruitt now works as a songwriter in Nashville and is married to a former tour mate.
