Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has asked House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., to draft articles of impeachment for the Democrats' latest attempted coup to negate the votes of 63 million Americans who elected President Trump in 2016.

This will backfire spectacularly with voters come November.

Americans see how unfair and corrupt the entire impeachment process has been from the start.

ED ROLLINS: IMPEACHMENT SHAM -- I'VE SERVED 4 PRESIDENTS AND NEVER SEEN SUCH NAKED, SELF-SERVING PARTISANSHIP

Liberal lawmakers running the impeachment scam have clearly denied the president due process afforded to former Presidents Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon during their impeachment hearings.

They've blocked the Republican lawmakers from calling witnesses while shielding the dubious whistleblower more aptly described as a partisan political operative -- who colluded with Democratic House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff's, D-Calif., congressional staff prior to filing his complaint -- from having to testify.

Other significant malfeasance tainting the inquiry's legitimacy has led the president to opt against having legal counsel present in the latest House Judiciary Committee hearing to face his accusers and cross-examine witnesses. Understandable, considering that the three liberal professors with knowledge of the Constitution whom Democrats dragged in to advance their case weren't witnesses to anything -- they are merely Democratic donors and/or partisans with an axe to grind against the president.

More from Opinion

Start with the fact that hateful Democrats who've been obsessed with removing the president since the day he got elected have given more weight to partisan bureaucrats embedded within the government -- who weren't on the July phone call in question -- than the actual transcript and the witnesses who were on the call including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

That's like doing a postmortem analysis of a plane crash and discounting the testimony of people who were on the plane -- such as the pilots, flight attendants and passengers -- and possess firsthand knowledge of what transpired but giving validity to observers on the ground with secondhand information.

A travesty of justice.

"The Dems' impeachment saga has been a circus from Day 1. They have no case. This charade is driven by their hatred of @realDonaldTrump," Republican House Minority Whip Steve Scalise tweeted on Wednesday. "Today Nadler takes over with another rigged hearing -- 3 anti-Trump liberals testifying. The facts don't change. There's nothing impeachable."

Yet Democrats such as Schiff -- a documented liar and conspiracy theorist who fueled the whole Russia collusion hoax -- and other liberal lawmakers are relying on hearsay and conjecture given by carefully selected partisans, rather than a world leader like Zelensky, who has said repeatedly there was no quid pro quo, "no pressure" and no wrongdoing by President Trump during their phone call.

This illustrates the impeachment charade lacks credulity and falls woefully short in reaching the constitutional threshold of "high crimes and misdemeanors" needed to warrant the removal of a duly elected president from office.

Translation: It's all political theater on the backs of taxpayers footing the multimillion-dollar tab.

Meanwhile, Democrats aren't doing the work of the American people -- work they were elected to do.

They refuse to pass the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, a trilateral deal that will strengthen crucial trade alliances with neighboring Canada and Mexico, create an estimated 176,000 new jobs, increase wages and add $68.2 billion to the U.S. economy.

They're turning a blind eye to other needs such as failing infrastructure; funds for our military and the government; lowering prescription drug prices; and fixing the broken immigration system jeopardizing national security.

They're also ignoring one the biggest issues voters across the aisle care about, health care, evidence that liberal lawmakers care more about power and all its self-serving manifestations than doing what's best for our country and the American people.
